Overview

Establishment of district heating pipes in an urban enviroment
The contract included the expansion of the existing district heating transmission network from Aarhus Power Plant to connect the højbjerg pipelin in the trecnh parallel to Sydhavnsgade including construction works. The work concerns the establishment of transmission and distribution lines in Aarhus Sydhavn. It included breaking up and establishing coatings, excavation work for district heating pipes and re-routing of supply lines. The district heating pipes were in the dimensions DN125 to DN600.

Contaminated soil and soft soil were handled in the contract as well as handling of traffic, as well as groundwater lowering. the work was also carried out very close to the existing harbor lane, which made great demands on safety work and close coordination with authorities.

As part of the task, concrete was drilled throgh in relation with connection to the Aarhus Power Plant.
