Establishment of new pedestrian street and optimization of bus traffic
The Amagerbrogade project included a major redevelopment from Christmas Møllers Plads to Vejlands Allé including side streets – a stretch of almost two kilometers. The project involved breaking up and establishment of pavements, new supply lines, re-routing, drainage, signaling, traffic management, planting and fixtures.

Following the project, the sidewalk have been expanded to support Amagerbrogade’s retail life. Furthermore, wide bicycle paths have been established and new bus lanes have been established.

Focus on safety and the local environment
During the project, we focused heavily on the safety of citizens, road users and our own employees, which resulted in a construction project without work accidents.

Despite Barslund and affiliated subcontractors having a great impact on citizens and residents daily life, the project was carried out in a good spirit with cooperation and words of praise from citizens who have expressed joy to Barslund’s employees who have helped with daily tasks, information, guides and routing.
